Director of Engineering

As a member of the Innovation, Research and Development (IRD) team, the technician takes part in the manufacturing and proper operation of pilot platforms. They also ensure the monitoring of field installations. Enjoying outdoor work, they appreciate hands-on tasks and teamwork. Resourceful and detail-oriented, they can adapt to unexpected situations while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Your Future Role

  • Lead, support, and motivate the engineering team;

  • Plan, manage, and supervise commercial projects, including budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables;

  • Oversee the design, installation, and optimization of wastewater treatment systems;

  • Collaborate with the sales team on bids, specifications, and tenders;

  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of all technical deliverables;

  • Support the team’s technical development and ongoing training;

  • Manage the development and optimization of residential wastewater treatment products;

  • Optimize products to reduce costs and improve performance;

  • Define objectives and performance indicators, and ensure proper tracking;

  • Ensure compliance of technical documentation;

  • Participate in the management committee and contribute to the organization’s strategic decisions;

  • Stay up to date with regulations and standards in the field;

  • Support the maintenance of required certifications, accreditations, and permits;

  • Integrate new water treatment technologies;

  • Contribute technically to innovation, research, and development (R&D) within the department;

  • Provide technical expertise to internal teams;

  • Act as a resource person for external partners and clients;

  • Represent the company at professional events and specialized conferences.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Water, Civil, Chemical, or Biotechnological Engineering, or in a related field;

  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);

  • Minimum of 7–8 years of relevant experience, including at least 1–2 years in engineering team management;

  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment and purification processes;

  • Proven experience managing complex projects: design, construction, and commissioning of equipment;

  • Demonstrated leadership, change management, and strong communication skills;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365;

  • Bilingual (French and English).
