Project engineer

Bionest designs, manufactures and markets sustainable wastewater treatment systems for residential, municipal and commercial applicationsAdditionally, it provides maintenance and repair services for systems of all brands. The company has been certified Ecoresponsible by the Council of Sustainable Industries since 2024. As a Project engineer, you are responsible for supporting product development, bidding process, coordination, installation and supervision of engineering projects for the Canadian market, except for Quebec. You act as the main point of contact internally and externally for engineering support, ensuring that quotes, deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met. 

You will be the direct link with our resources, partners and customers based in Canada, and you will occasionally travel to ensure the follow-up of development and the good progress of projects. 

Your Future Role

  • Represent Bionest, plan, organize and coordinate all stages of sales and project implementation; 
  • Participate in product engineering modifications and improvements; 
  • Produce plans on SolidWorks for product improvement and projects; 
  • Participate in market development and customer qualification; 
  • Ensure compliance with schedule, quality requirements and technical specifications; 
  • Work closely with the engineering, customer, quality, installation and service teams; 
  • Work on product documentation; 
  • Produce bids, plans, specifications and other technical deliverables to ensure compliance with contractual requirements; 

Skills

  • Have a bachelor’s engineering degree in Wastewater and/or Water or civil; 
  • 3-5 years of experience as a project engineer;  
  • Have experience in construction and construction sites; 
  • Solidwork CAD design experience; 
  • Be a member of the PEO;  
  • Experience in wastewater or water treatment; 
  • Have an excellent command of English, spoken and written; 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license; 
  • Excellent organizational skills; 
  • Strong collaborative mindset; 
  • Good communication skills;  
  • Autonomy, rigor and sense of initiative; 
  • Analytical mind and practical sense; 
  • Positive and proactive attitude; 
  • Be focused on providing high-quality customer service.
